Computer Science, B.S. Data Science and Big Data Concentration


UNC Greensboro’s Bachelor of Science in Computer Science is a popular and thriving program, one of the largest in the state. Despite its large size, the program maintains modest class sizes and a strong tradition of one-on-one faculty mentorship. 

The Data Science and Big Data concentration allows students to focus their studies on the in-demand field of data science. You take courses on the theories, algorithms, and technologies to develop analytical systems for disparate, complex, and small or large-scale datasets.


  • UNCG’s BS program in Computer Science is thriving, having grown from 131 majors in Fall 2008 to 568 majors in Fall 2020, with 77 degrees awarded in the 2019-2020 academic year.
