Master's in Computer Science - Data Science and Big Data

The Master’s in Computer Science, Data Science and Big Data is designed to build computer science depth and research competence with a focus on data organization with real-world applications. The Data Science and Big Data concentration provides technical skills for the in-demand field of data science. Master’s students take courses on theories, algorithms, and technologies to develop analytical systems for disparate, complex, and small or large-scale datasets.

THE Master’s STUDENT EXPERIENCE in the Data Science and Big Data Concentration

  • You have three options for completing your required capstone experience: A comprehensive examination, a project, or a thesis. 
  • The Data Science and Big Data concentration can be obtained with careful selection of appropriate elective courses, not requiring any additional courses beyond the regular MS requirements.
