Follow Me Season 2 Features Students Finding Their Way

University Communications has released the second season of its “Follow Me” video series, featuring four students who share glimpses into their lives at UNC Greensboro.  

The latest videos keep the casual, day-in-the-life vibe of season one, while shining a brighter light on how students are discovering career paths at UNCG. See how Spartans support their academics with campus activities, internships, and faculty relationships that help them choose unique professions that match their passions and give them resume-building experience.

Cailyn Stackhouse

Major:  Marketing with concentration in social media  
The Bryan School is setting her up for success. 

Campus Involvement: Student Government Association’s director of media affairs and UNCG Enrollment Communications’ student content creator 

Fun Fact: Cailyn’s already a senior in her second year. 

Advice for Students: Show your Spartan spirit each week with Blue & Gold Fridays! 

Erik Traheim

Major: Music performance, woodwinds concentration 
School of Music faculty gives one-on-one attention and opportunities for creative collaboration. 

Instrument: Bassoon 

Fun Fact: This musician also has skills on the basketball court. 

Advice for Students: Absorb Greensboro’s creative culture at local events like Double Oaks Bed and Breakfast’s jazz night. 

Jimmy Nguyen 

Major:  Marketing with concentration in social media 
At The Bryan School, students learn to connect with audiences beyond traditional marketing. 

Campus Involvement: Esports Arena supervisor, competitive gamer, and officer in UNCG’s Gaming and Esports Club 

Fun Fact: Jimmy helps turn the Esports Arena into a dance club on karaoke nights! 

Advice for Students: Take on positions at campus clubs to explore jobs you might want to pursue in the future. 

Abby Lowry 

Major: Media studies, with a minor in American Sign Language 
Students in the Department of Media Studies enjoy free access to video production technology like cameras, lights, and state-of-the-art green screens.  

Campus Involvement: Housing and Residence Life marketing assistant 

Fun Fact: Abby’s cat, Peach, lives in the suite-style campus apartment with her. 

Advice for Students: Find yourself some wheels, like a skateboard, to get around campus with ease.
