Throughout its long and distinguished history, the the Carolina Film and Video Festival has striven to achieve the following major objectives:

  • To recognize excellence in contemporary film and video production
Patrons in line for tickets for Winners' Night at the Carolina Theatre

 

  • To serve the Greensboro and Piedmont Triad community by showing films and videos not available through other agencies

 

  • To provide filmmakers, including UNC Greensboro students and faculty, with opportunities for networking, particularly with sources of potential funding and distributors

 

  • To educate students and the public in current standards of excellence in film and video production

  • To provide UNC Greensboro students with a laboratory for learning management and production skills through operation of the Festival
