Pre-Professional Programs
When you are on a path to medical school, law school, or other advanced professions you need expert advising to ensure you develop an undergraduate resume that sets you apart from other competitive professional school applicants. UNC Greensboro offers nine pre-professional tracks that help you accomplish just that.
Our pre-professional tracks were designed to allow students to pursue nearly any primary major (some of our pre-med students are music majors!), then receive frequent advising that allows them to work required classes into their major schedules.
In addition to personalized advising on course selection, you also receive coaching about how to choose the right extracurriculars and prepare for entrance exams.

ALREADY HAVE A DEGREE? TRY OUR POST-BACCALAUREATE PROGRAM
UNCG offers pre-med and pre-dental post-baccalaureate programs for students who have already finished an undergraduate degree (in science or an unrelated field) and later decide they want to go to medical or dental school. Students can apply to this program and receive the same personal advising and application coaching they would get as traditional undergraduate students.
Within 15 months of summer enrollment, students in this program can complete the prerequisite courses for the Medical College Aptitude Test (MCAT) or the Dental Aptitude Test (DAT), even if they don’t have any science courses to begin with.
