Directions to UNCG School of Music

From the North and East (Burlington, Raleigh/Durham, Richmond, VA):

From I-40/85, Take exit 128 labeled as "Lee Street/UNC-Greensboro" Go right at the end of the ramp. You will stay on Lee Street for ca. 5 miles. Turn right on to Aycock Street. Get into the right lane. Take the exit onto Market Street towards downtown. Stay in the right lane. Go approximately two blocks. Turn right onto McIver Street where you will see the School of Music Building on your right.

From the South (Salisbury, Charlotte, Atlanta, GA):

From I-85 North, at the split take business 85. Take the Coliseum Area exit, #122-B. Merge onto US-220 North. Continue on Freeman Mill Road (which is 220 North). This will take you to downtown Greensboro. Turn left on Friendly Avenue. Get in the left lane. Make a sharp left onto Lake Drive. Cross West Market Street and continue onto McIver Street where you will see the School of Music Building on your right.

From the West (Winston-Salem, Asheville, Knoxville, TN):

From I-40 East, take business 40. Take Exit 214 Wendover Avenue East and turn right on Wendover Avenue. Follow Wendover to the exit for Market Street (3.5 miles). Turn right on Market Street (towards downtown) and follow for 2 miles. Turn right onto McIver Street where you will see the School of Music Building on your right.

From Downtown Greensboro:

Go West on Friendly Avenue. Get in the lane second from the left. Get in the left lane. Make a sharp left onto Lake Drive. Cross West Market Street and continue onto McIver Street where you will see the School of Music Building on your right.

 

There is a parking garage located next to the music building. Parking is $1.00 an hour, up to $6.00 for all day. Parking for ticketed public concerts is free.
