This degree prepares you for a career as a teacher or administrator in early childhood or classroom settings, work with nonprofits or government agencies, and more.

The Student Experience

After Graduation

  • Prepare for a career in early childhood settings and agencies serving young children and their families with the Early Care and Education Program.
  • Prepare for NC licensure to teach B-K children in public school with the Birth through Kindergarten Teacher Licensure programs. 
  • Graduates work in positions or settings such as: child care teacher or administrator, early intervention programs (additional credential required), specialized educational programs (additional coursework may be required), and work with nonprofits or government agencies (Smart Start, Parents as Teachers).
