In what ways has Bryan Graduate Career Services been most helpful to you during your time in the graduate program?
The Bryan Graduate Career Services Office has really helped me plan for the future. Not only did I complete the necessary documents to search for an internship, but I also learned more about myself and what I really wanted to do. In addition to all of the wonderful career events, I have had the opportunity to establish a personal contact with Darlene who has guided me every step of the way. Without it I would be lost!
Working with Bryan Graduate Career Services has been a great experience. I received personal attention to my problems and the office helped me find solutions. Students are really missing out if they do not take part of these opportunities.
What career related tips or advice would you give to other graduate students or prospective students?
1. Start early!! The preparation is key to finding what you really want.
2. Don't be afraid to ask for help and advice from others. Darlene gave me contacts who in turn were great references for me.
3. Learn from the classes what you are good at and what you enjoy. I know I was surprised.
