Julie Mulvihill is a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, where she earned a Master of Arts degree in Dance Studies. Julie is a professor at UNCG, Elon University, and Peace College. She has danced with Birmingham Ballet, Rumba Latina, Even Exchange Dance Theater, ChoreoCollective, and she has competed professionally in American Rhythm ballroom competitions. Julie is a choreographer for the Rainbow Dance Company in Raleigh and also independently creates her own work. Her work has been shown at the American Dance Festival, North Carolina Dance Project’s Saturday Series, NC Dances, Raleigh Little Theatre, Even Exchange Sharings, and UNCG. She is currently certifying in the Alexander Technique and is earning a doctorate in Dance Theory and Practice from Texas Woman’s University. She is interested in many aspects of dance art and combines her research ideas into textual performance projects. Julie has taught all kinds of dance to all kinds of people.
