The majority of graduate students choose to live off campus. There are numerous ways of finding apartments in the surrounding area. Check with your department as well for students who may have let them know that they are searching for a roommate. Parking
All vehicles on the UNCG campus are required to have a parking permit, or to be parked in one of the designated visitor parking spots. These spots are in the parking decks or at one of the metered areas. All vehicles must have valid registration. See Parking Services for more information.Registering for Classes
All registration at UNCG takes place on UNCGenie. You must have an assigned Student ID and PIN in order to register for classes. For detailed information, see the University Registrar’s webpage.
University ID
("UNCG FirstCard")
The UNCG FirstCard is an all-io-one card. It serves as an ID, dept, library, and meal card for all UNCG faculty, staff, and students. Get the card at the FirstCard Center in the Elliott University Center.
Health Insurance
UNCG strongly recommends that you are adequately insured to meet unanticipated health care costs. Student Health Services has more information on the student insurance plans offered to UNCG students.
UNCG Computer Accounts Activation
It is very important for you to activate all of your computer accounts, which you can do at one time. Please visit the UNCG Computer Account Request Page for help with activating your accounts. For more information about the UNCG computer system visit Information Technology Services (ITS) web page.
