Megan is an intern architect at BuildSense Architecture I Construction, a design/build firm in Durham with a focus in custom built sustainable homes. She serves as a design project lead, working directly with clients designing every detail of their custom home.

As a graduate student, she focused her studies on community-based design working with NC State University School of Architecture’s Home Environments Design Initiative as well as for the Raleigh non-profit Builders of Hope. During her time with the non-profit she developed the State Street Village master plan and designed the first 12 homes in the neighborhood. Working alongside the non-profit’s builders she found the benefits of the design build process. Prior to returning to graduate school, she worked as the lead interior design at TFF Architects in Greensboro where she designed the interiors for Caldwell Academy Grammar School and Northwest Pediatricians.
