Group Therapy

Group therapy brings together multiple people with a common area of difficulty to provide support and introduce new coping skills. Most groups are time-limited and meet for 1.5 to 2 hours on a weekly or bi-weekly basis. Recent groups for adults at the Psychology Clinic include:

  • Interpersonal Process Group for adults wanting to be more effective in social settings including increased self-awareness, communication, and relationship building
  • Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) for adults wanting to increase healthy ways to control emotions and learn how to cope with distressing situations
  • Bipolar Disorder Group for adults wanting to learn more about this disorder and how to manage it
  • Transitions Group for young adults with Autism Spectrum Disorders
